i created a quick little card using papertrey's anniversary stamp set, pretty peonies. i don't have the coordinating die-cuts yet, but it's easy to just trim out the frame by hand...although those dies are on my wish list! the frame was stamped with tuxedo black memento ink, the sentiment with pit's new leaf ink, and i used versa mark to emboss the peonies on the pattern paper. this is not the first time that i have heat embossed, but this is the first time using versamark ink. let me tell you...it's amazing! previously i had just used a generic from hobby lobby, which half of the time didn't hold onto the embossing power...but this versamark, this stuff is the real deal! i'm in love with it! the green ledger pattern paper is by studio calico and cardstock is simply chartreuse and stamper's select white. since i was keeping this a simple design, i decided to pop off the frame with 3d foam and attach to the main panel with embroidery floss. easy as pie! and quick too...if you've got a crawler on your hands as i do, i am sure you can appreciate that! :)
(i am blogging from my ipod so sorry i havent attatched the inspiration picture)
hope you & yours have a fabulous weekend and memorial day. thank a soldier if you see one!

Make it Monday No.67
this week papertrey ink's challenge is to create a card with three or more pattern papers. betsy made a great video talking about her process when mixing & matching papers. again, my picture isn't great but i actually used 4 patterns as the tiny star border was die cut from a piece of pink paper that had some texture printed on it as well. the papers are all from 6x6 basic grey pads, label sticker by martha stewart office, and papertrey for the rest: button twine, star border & sentiment from up, up & away stamp set. thanks for taking a peek! xxo andie...
